The drums sound like a poser version of this-
http://illformed.org/data/glitch/glit ch_v13_amen.mp3

It seem like you were glitching the drums just to glitch them, regardless of whether or not they were called for to fit with the rest of the song.

Author's Response:

Well - I'm not sure what you mean by "a poser version" It would seem that you are implying a lack of skill or finesse on my part. I don't take offense though.

I doubt that you have, but If you've ever heard any of my other stuff then you'll know I'm a big fan of glitching, chopping and mangling music, percussion in general.

As to the question of if it was called for, I suppose that ultimately it's purely a matter of taste but nothing about this was accidental.

DeusExMagna understood what was going on - downtempo piano punctuated by double time and glitchy percussion. A little too laid back and a little to hectic. I don't know if you've ever had insomnia but if you did you would understand that even the title is at odds with itself. The last thing that you want to do when you can't sleep is grin.

It's a Jungian thing.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

See you around.

"S'good"

The main issue here is the voice at the beginning. It could have been a lot better in my opinion. Maybe you could have shortened it a bit and added a little more effects to hide the crap for crap acting.

Fictional Reality

"Sounds real."

submission: Fictional Reality

With most of your other songs you can tell they were computer generated. This one sounds pretty real though. The solo in this wasn't too great, you should have made it longer and faster.

Draze - Satisfaction [RMX]

"That pisses me off."

date: January 28, 2007

I mean, the song was realy great. The thing that made the origional so good was the volume controll (which you did alot better than the origional). But in the origional, there would be times when the chorus would just play (with another one an octive up) without changing volume. That never came, it felt like one big intro. But it was a fecking good intro.

Author's Response:

Lol i havn't listened to the original in over a year, maybe i should have before making this lol. Well i'm happy the intro is still good enough for (nearly) all tens :)

Thanks again,
Draze
